Night Watch Wanting to help serve a meal to those in need of a meal in Seattle? Join us here at the church the first Saturday of each month at 5 PM to prepare the food and/or 7 PM to head to Seattle to distribute the food. Join us next month on September 4th. For more information, click here
Hey Kids We ares so excited about our new program for YOU on Sunday mornings starting on September 5th. There will be children's classes for all ages during the whole worship hour (10:30-11:45). We will have a great time singing, playing games, learning about's God's Word and doing some fun art projects! We look forward to seeing each of YOU...Blessing and Prayers, Sue Shouse, Beth Robertson and Melody McGuire Prayer First Sunday (PFS) Join us every first Sunday of the month, September 5th, at 5:30 pm in the chapel to be a prayerful church. Wednesday Bible Study The Wednesday evening Bible study will resume September 8th at 7pm in the Fireside room. Please join us as we explore the Gospel of Mark together. Now more than ever we need to be discussing the application of God's Word to His people to our lives. Come and have a good meal at 6pm at the Church and then join us for a lively study and discussion. For more information contact Mike or Sue Shouse (425)774-3309. Chronic Pain Group Do you have a chronic pain or illness? Then join us from 1-2pm the 2nd and 4th Wednesday in the fireside room. Our next meeting will be September 15th. Contact Pastor Cailen or Laura Vernon for more information. Senior Adult Bible Study The next Senior Adult Bible study is Tueday, September 14th. All seniors are invited to join Pastor Cailen at noon in the Fireside room. The seniors meet each 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
Women's Retreat Women, join us at Double K Christian Retreat Center, September 17-18 for a retreat. Guest speaker will be Rena Marvel, and Melody will be speaking as well. Cost is $70 by August 15th, so sign up today! Annual Business Meeting The annual business meeting for our church will be after the morning worship service on Sunday Sept 26. The tentative agenda will include approving the 2010/2011 budget, reatifying Board of Trustees and Treasurer terms. We will also have an open forum discussing our vision, plans, dreams for the future of the Edmonds Church of God including discipleship and evangelism in our community. Please plan on attending this important meeting in the life and future of God's church. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Kick Off Sunday Kick off the new school year on Sunday, September 12th after church with a potluck barbeque. Meat will be provided, but please bring two of the following: beans, salad or dessert for the potluck. Complete with fun for the kids including inflatable toys for the kids to play on. Women's Movie Night Movie night at Melody's on Sunday, October 24th at 5pm showing 'Love Comes Softly'. Please bring a snack to share. Contact Melody McGuire for any questions. Trunk-O-Treat Hey Kids! Come by the church parking lot between 5-6:30 on Sunday, October 31st for a treat. Adults: please bring your bags of candy and come to the church parking lot to bless our church kids as well as those in the neighborhood.
Greg Laurie Plan now to attend the Seattle Harvest November 5-7 at the Key Arena. Greg Laurie will be speaking, along with music by Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, The Katinas, and Kutless. Volunteers are needed to help represent our church, so contact the church office for more information. This is an event you won't want to miss. Visit seattle.harvest.org for more information.
Women's Breakfast Join us on Saturday, November 6th at the Pancake House on HWY 99 in Edmonds. Come and join for delicious food and fellowship at 9am.
